As you can see by these SD deer you have gotten. South Dakota is a sleeper state for big deer. Most often land owners or people who don’t want there great hunting land take big deer ( whitetails 160+ in., muleys 170+ in.) the deer that make Boone & Crocket are never turned in so when looking at the books you don’t see that SD has the big deer and the deer numbers that we do. I am 28 years old and have shot 4 whitetails that score over 150 and every year I shoot a solid 130-150 class whitetail.
